Visa and migration policy

Attention! This information is very important for your legal and safe presence on the territory of the Russian Federation. Please, read carefully.

Before leaving Russia, you must inform the campus and the Department of International Relations of ASU about the date of departure. If you leave Astrakhan for more than 7 days, you are obliged to take up migration registration in another city. When you return to Astrakhan, you must contact the International Relations Department within 2 working days and hand over the documents for registration in the ASU campus, as well as notify the campus about it.

If you change your place of stay, you must report to the International Relations Department within 1 day (including after discharge from the hospital). The campus should also be informed.

Foreign citizens, expelled from the university for academic debt, breach of the contract, etc., are obliged to leave the Russian Federation, they have an opportunity to return after receiving a new invitation.  

In the first 3 working days from the date of crossing the Russian border you must provide the following documents to the International Relations Department of ASU:

National passport and the copy of its first page and visa page (+ page with a border crossing mark for citizens with a visa-free regime)

A copy of a single entry visa (for citizens with a visa regime)

Migration card and its copy (with a note about crossing the border).

2 photos (3/4) on matte paper.

To extend the period of stay in Russia and in Astrakhan, you must provide the following documents (1 month before the expiry of the visa):

Passport (2 copies of the main page) must be valid for at least 18 months, containing at least two blank pages 

Notarized translation of the passport (for citizens with a visa regime)

A copy of a single or multiple entry visa (for citizens with a visa regime)

A copy of the student contract.

Receipt for payment of state duty for multiple entry visas (for citizens with a visa regime)
